Technical Sub-Committee on Testing

In May 2004 the East African Standards Committee (EASC) established the Testing Technical Sub-Committee (TTC) which is among the four Technical Sub-Committees under the SQMT Infrastructure. The mandate of the TTC includes:
  • co-ordinate cooperation in testing for purposes of developing competence of testing laboratories and promote recognition of test certificates
  • encourage inter-laboratory testing among laboratories; establish procedures for validation of test methods;
  • co-ordinate co-operation in the development and establishment of Reference Materials; and,
  • the use of existing facilities with a view to making them accessible to users of laboratory services in the region
