DEAS Seed potato - public review draft

The following draft East African standard for seed potato has   been prepared   by the EAC Sector Committee on Food and Agriculture   in accordance with the procedures of the East African Standards Committee(EASC).

The  Draft East African Standard is  being posted for purposes of giving concerned experts and stakeholders a final opportunity to submit any relevant comments before the standards is  approved by the EASC.

Any interested party who has reservations with regard to particular provisions of any specific clauses of the draft standard is hereby notified that they have until 15th May 2011 to lodge their reservations. Such reservations should be specific to relevant provisions, giving analysis of the envisaged problems and giving alternative provisions that will address the problems. No reservations or appeals will be entertained for appeals lodged after 15th May 2011 date

Reservations should be addressed to   the coordinating secretariat at UNBS on email apostella2000@yahoo.co.uk/ stella.apolot@gmail.com using the attached forms.  It will also be appreciated if those who have no specific comments to make but find the draft standard generally acceptable to notify   accordingly.

Please note that the draft standards are subject to change and should not, therefore be cited in any legal transactions until they are formally approved and gazetted.
