Standardization in biogas technology

Introduction

Until recently, standardization in the biogas field was largely a national affair.Countries like China and India had developed national standards in the biogas field on appliances, systems and operations. China has so far developed over 47 standards.

The situation took an international outlook when in January 2010 China proposed the formation of an ISO TC for Biogas. ISO 255 on Biogas has duly been established.
